Plumeria House is somewhat smaller in square footage than the other two, and is not beachfront—though it is only steps away. Ginger and Hibiscus are beachfront, mirror images of each other, except that in Ginger, the third bedroom is slightly larger than in Hibiscus. CLOSE

The beach is literally steps away from all three houses. You may note in some of the pictures that the beach directly in front of the property is split into two sections—to the southwest is a lava rock outcropping and to the northwest is a golden sand beach that stretches on endlessly. When you exit from the private beach access you will find yourself on the lava rock, but only for several paces until you reach the sand. CLOSE
Foodland is about a 10-minute walk from the home, or about a 1 minute drive. CLOSE
Each home has a cooler in the kitchen area. For the rest of the items—bicycles (6), sand toys (3), beach chairs (12), umbrellas (3), boogie boards (6), adult masks (6), children’s masks (6)—we recommend you allot an equal number for all three houses. CLOSE
There is a bike path just outside the property that stretches for about three miles between Shark’s Cove and Sunset Beach. CLOSE
We always advise people that no matter what time of year it is, they should approach Hawaiian waters with caution. Having said that, during the summer months, the water is typically flat and great for swimming. During the winter time high to extremely high surf is the norm. On the shoulder seasons—spring and fall—it’s best to take time to observe conditions before plunging in. CLOSE
There is no lifeguard stand on the beach. However, the lifeguards do patrol the beach on ATVs and will place red flags at intervals along the sand if the conditions that day are considered dangerous. CLOSE
Yes, each house comes with two assigned parking stalls. CLOSE
We strive to make Tropical Waters the peaceful retreat that our guests crave. We also want to be good neighbors to the houses on either side of us. For this reason, we do not allow social gatherings of any kind on the property. In fact, the only people allowed on site are registered guests. This extends to any kind of social event including, but not limited to, weddings, family reunions, memorials, etc. CLOSE
Just a few minutes’ walk away are some local food trucks and bungalow-style beach shops. But the real North Shore shopping and dining fun is in Haleiwa town, which is about 6 miles away. A smaller selection of boutiques and eateries can be found 6 miles in the other direction at the Turtle Bay Resort. And of course, if it’s (relatively) big city bustle you’re craving, tourist Mecca Waikiki is 38 miles away. CLOSE
In no particular order because they are all great: Learning about various customs and traditions at the Polynesian Cultural Center; hiking along nature trails to the falls at the Waimea Valley Adventure Park; riding horses or playing golf at the Turtle Bay Resort; shopping and dining in historic Haleiwa Town; hiring a charter boat from Haleiwa Harbor to go fishing for Ono and Mahi Mahi; we could go on and on. CLOSE
Yes. We have a portable crib/playpen, sand toys, and boogie boards for youngsters to enjoy and we routinely host families with young children. CLOSE
